Robert Dickinson commented on Robert Dickinson's group Stream of InformationHi..i'm student from Malaysia who taking remote sensing course...i'm planning to produce flood hazard map by using EPA SWMM 5 simulate the flood depth and inundation..then import these data to GIS software such as ArcGIS and used landsat image as base map to visualize the high risk area....i'm worries that EPA SWMM doesn't link with GIS software......i'm beginner in this field..any expert pls comment bout my work...thank you...

Dr. Pina has a discussion here about shape files and SWMM 5 http://www.swmm2000.com/profiles/blogs/arcgis-data-into-swmm
where he has links to his inp.Pins program. Of course, InfoSWMM because it is built into Arc GIS has a lot of tools for importing or exporting SWMM 5 data and results to flood maps. I also have known many people who have taken the output of SWMM 5 and imported into Arc GIS - they may have built their own standalone tools but it is commonly done.
