I tried to estimate the length of overland flow using Flow Direction and Flow Length tool in ArcGIS. But the problem is that my sub catchments are mostly of rectangular shape (i.e. not he originally delineated sub watershed).
I would like to make one more point that earlier I have taken the square root of sub-catchment area to estimate the width of the catchment.
I am not sure about the applicability of any of the aforementioned method for estimating the width of the catchment, please write your opinions. Any help will be highly appreciated.
