How is the St Venant Equation Solved for in the Dynamic Wave Solution of SWMM 5?

Subject:   How is the St Venant Equation Solved for in the Dynamic Wave Solution of SWMM 5? An explanation of the four St. Venant Terms in SWMM 5 and how they change for Gravity Mains and Force Mains. The HGL is the water surface elevation in the upstream and downstream nodes of the link. The HGL for a full link goes from the pipe crown elevation up to the rim elevation of the node + the surcharge depth of the node.  The four terms are: dq2 = Time Step * Awtd * (Head Downstream – Head Upstream)…See More

"Hi, If you can combine the Node Summary Table of SWMM 5 and the Node X, Y coordinates from the Input file in a CSV file  you should be able to geo reference your various levels of output and make a map in GIS for you flood hazard."

EPA SWMM 5 to produce flood hazard map

Hi..i'm student from Malaysia who taking remote sensing course...i'm planning to produce flood hazard map by using EPA SWMM 5 simulate the flood depth and inundation..then import these data to GIS software such as ArcGIS and used landsat image as base map to visualize the high risk area....i'm worries that EPA SWMM doesn't link with GIS software......i'm beginner in this field..any expert pls comment bout my work...thank you...See More
