There are new versions of SWMM 5 so that may be the reason. If you send me the file to robert.dickinson@gmail.com I can probably answer this question. It sounds like your pump is not working.
Great! Then I will try and see if someone understands my question and can help!
I am really new to SWMM but need to learn real quick!
I started with a file that someone at my school made a couple of years ago. It is a stormwater and wastewater network, with 4 so called Storage units (they are pump station, I am not sure of correct term, but they are called storage units in SWMM) and some Subcatchment areas and other things.I have not changed the objects in the file, just opened it and tried to run a simulation. It didn't work, because "recording interval greater than time series interval for Rain Gage Rain1". So I changed the time interval from 00:30 to 00:01, and then the simulation work. So I basically did not change anything I believe?
But the problem is that I have a word document with the result from when someone else did the simulation, that I got from my teacher so I believe it is correct, and it is different from the results I get when I do the simulation!
I should get an overflow from one of the Storage units (pump stations), but when I do the simulation I get nothing, no overflow. No matter how big of a rain I apply? And I have been at this all day trying to figure out what Im doing wrong but I just don't understand?!
It may be impossible to answer this question with this little input, but do you have any idea where it could be something wrong? Is it something what have changed with newer versions of the program?
