Robert Dickinson commented on Robert Dickinson's group Stream of InformationHi,
I have modeled porous pavement with regard to 2 scenarios. In the first scenario I examined the effect of increase the flow (Q peak) on the BMP efficiency. The results showed that the efficiency was decreased when flow increased. That’s ok. But in the second scenario I examined the effect of increase the flow (Q peak) because of change in hyetograph. In this scenario return period & total depth of precipitation is constant. Results showed that when flow (Q peak) increased, BMP efficiency increased. Is it reasonable? Why?
Thanks for your help.

Permalink Reply by Fateme Fallah on December 1, 2011 at 1:09am I mean:
Efficiency =(Q outfall (before using BMP)- Q outfall (after using BMP))/ Q outfall (before using BMP)
And also
efficiency=(Volume outfall (before using BMP)- Volume outfall (after using BMP))/ Volume outfall (before using BMP)
