HRT

Hello:

I am wondering how the HRT value is being calculated in the treatment expression (e.g. C= NH4*exp(-0.04*HRT).

Thanks!

  • Good point - please send it to robert.dickinson@gmail.com
  • I sent an email to mail@2000.com. If this in not correct, could you provide an email address that works? I don't really want to upload my file on the website...
  • Yes, please attach your model or send it to me, Michelle.
  • Thanks for the help!

    I think I am having an issue with flow routing through my system. It appears that the flow from the subcatchment is not entering the "inlet" storage unit in my model. I cannot seem to configure it to work properly. Could you take a look at my model, and see if I am missing something? Please..

  • Or the new hydraulic residence time equals the old hydraulic residence time plus the current time step times the increase in volume over the time step.   There is a check to make sure that the residence time is zero when the storage is empty. The Inflow can also be negative so the HRT can decrease over time as well as increase.
  • Hrt or the residence time is

    New Hydraulic Residence Time  = (Old Hydraulic Residence Time + Time Step) *

    Volume / (Volume + Inflow * Time Step);
