Evapotranspiration

Hi! I have a question about evaporation. I ran the model for only one day to see the relationship among evaporation, precipitation and runoff volume, but I found the precipitation is much higher than precipitation. Why the evaporation is much higher the precipitation? How does it happen? I think in reality it's impossible.

  • It is a confusing graph in the System Graphs but this is the reason:

    1. The evaporation graph is showing you input evaporation - this is the data you either entered as a time series, monthly table or constant

    2. The losses are the area weighted losses = evaporation + infiltration

    3.  The actual evaporation is much less than the values you entered in this case
