LID Control

I have another question now. I'm only interested in LID control and the topic of my these is analyzing stormwater reduction with urban green infrastructure. Is it possible that I only simulate LID without considering grey infrastructure such as pipe, junction etc.? I tried, but the all of the results are 0. I attached the result report of my area. There must be some mistakes, but I can't figure it out.

  • Hi,

You need to enter a width value for the swale in the Subcatchment Editor, you cannot use a zero width - thanks for the model, BTW, it looks very nice

    • Thank you very much! It works now =)

  • Hi! Thank you for your reply! I have another problem with LID now. I want to simulate large square of lawn which is classified into vegetative swale , but when I run the model, error 185 appeared: invalid parameter value for LID VS. I checked it, but can't find anything wrong. If I put it in another subcathment, it worked. But this subcatchment doesn't work. I attached the parameter for that vegetative swale and subcatchment information that I want to apply this LID.

    • I think it is missing a variable for width, if you send me the model to robert.dickinson@gmail.com I can find out what the issue is for you.

      • Hey! I've sent it to you.

  • It probably did not work due to having no rainfall, see this example file with a LID for Green Roofs and Rain Barrels.   It only has one Subcatchment and one outfall so you do not need to model grey water in SWMM 5 as long as you have one outfall.
