link Matlab to SWMM5

i would like to link Matlab to SWMM 5 in order to automate the calculate processing (like sensibility analyze etc.). For these option must the Input and Output File be readable for Matlab. As we known is the simulation result by SWMM 5 saved as binary file (.out). How can I change the binary file into text file or ASCII file? Are there some DOS commands to use? Thanks a lot!

    Here is an example of the input file to print out all of the subcatchments, links, nodes in the RPT file

    Hi Zhao,

     

    The DOS version of SWMM 5 makes both a text and binary output as does the SWMM 5 DLL but you can get the data output in SWMM 5 DOS by using the REPORT options - the output then shows up in the rpt file.
