Hi!
I want to clarify something. I am running a long term simulation to know the charge of fecal coliform in the summer.
This is the report:
************************** CF
Runoff Quality Continuity LogN
************************** ----------
Initial Buildup .......... 0.000
Surface Buildup .......... 14.254
Wet Deposition ........... 0.000
Sweeping Removal ......... 0.000
Infiltration Loss ........ 0.000
BMP Removal .............. 0.000
Surface Runoff ........... 14.254
Remaining Buildup ........ 0.000
Continuity Error (%) ..... 0.000
I want to clarify the meaning of "surface buildup". To calculate the total load, have I to multiply "surface buildup" with "Surface Runoff" with "the total area" ????
thanks for your reply
Amélie

Sorry, for my poor interpretation of your question but yes you answer is right - the exp will give you the total number of fecal coli forms.
Hi Mrs Dickinson,
Thanks for the reply.
For the question above : There is no remaining buildup because I use the EMC with 100% efficiency.
On more time, just to be sure (english is not my fisrt language) : I can measure the total load of fecal coliform like this : exp(14.254) = 1.6x10^6 #of fecal coliform. Is that right?
Thanks,
amélie
Initial Buildup .......... 0.000 this is the initial user defined buildup
Surface Buildup .......... 14.254 this is the buildup during the simulation
Wet Deposition ........... 0.000 this is the precipitation load
Sweeping Removal ......... 0.000 this is the sweeping load removal
Infiltration Loss ........ 0.000 loss out of ponds and lakes
BMP Removal .............. 0.000 loss out of BMP'S
Surface Runoff ........... 14.254 here is your Washoff - C * Flow
Remaining Buildup ........ 0.000 is there anything left to washoff?
Continuity Error (%) ..... 0.000 perfect - you have a zero CE model
The names in SWMM 4 were more meaningful but in SWMM 5 the Surface Runoff corresponds to the Washoff. You had a buildup of 14 logN and a Washoff of the same. The Washoff or Surface Runoff in the Water Quality table already is concentration * flow internally in SWMM 5.
I hope this helps.
